Blakeley Legal appoints new legal assistant

Blakeley Legal has recently appointed Lorraine McClure as a personal legal assistant to Advocate Olaf Blakeley.  Lorraine has previously worked alongside Advocate Blakeley at another legal firm in the Island and has decided to continue working with Advocate Blakeley at Blakeley Legal.

As personal legal assistant Lorraine is responsible for managing all of Advocate Blakeley’s cases and normally has first contact with Advocate Blakeley’s clients.  This system works well because it ensures that clients can make direct contact with a legal advisor who knows the detail of their matter.

Lorraine was born in Jersey and attended Beaulieu Convent School.  Lorraine completed the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators exams in 1996 and then attended Exeter University obtaining postgraduate diplomas in law and legal practice.

Prior to joining Blakeley Legal and working for Advocate Blakeley, Lorraine worked for Bedell Cristin in Jersey for five years where she further advanced her trust and corporate law experience.

Currently Lorraine is studying for the Jersey Advocates’ exams.  Lorraine is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators.

Personal Information
Lorraine is a serious gym enthusiast and a member of the Jersey Rowing Club.  Lorraine has also spent a considerable amount of time as a local volunteer to the Jersey homeless charity, “Outreach”.
